You might think that the title is a little cheeky, but it's true, you can make money online, with a website about making money online.

Okay, I'm not being silly. Make Money Online was created for the simple reason that I want to make money, and I want to make it on the Internet. Well, to be honest, I already am making money on the Internet through several other websites, using all kinds of different revenue methods. Sure it helps that I can build my own websites, that I have a good working knowledge about webhosting, that I understand how much of the Internet works, and that I can write. All of these factors are the same ones you can use to make money (on the Internet).

Now I'm not going to brag about my accomplishments, because I am not a multi-millionaire (yet), but I have all of the right tools to be successful. In this article, I am writing about making money using a making money online website niche. Now tackling the "make money online" keywords is a huge task, and to crack the top ten in the search engines in this category would be an enormous accomplishment. But I think I can do it, and I'm prepared to take the time to do it.

A lot of people fail before they ever get started. Why? Because they're not prepared to commit to their goals of earning money. Many of these dreamers want to make money FAST, and they want to do it the easiest way possible. Well, there are those who are lucky enough to come up with an original idea, or are in the right place at the right time, and they do strike it rich. Now, I think I've got a few things going for me with this site. I have the benefit of getting a domain (not easy to do in 2007) name that is relevant to the topic I wish to generate my niche, making money online. Also, the website is professional-looking enough for visitors to realize that it's not just a shabby fly-by-night website copied by some script-kiddie, newbie, (or beginner). The structure of the site is friendly to search engines, it utilizes appropriate keywords without going overboard, and there is unique, original content. It can't be stressed enough that search engines LOVE unique content.

I've also added information about how to be reached, and what the website is about, so that curious visitors can realize that this is a legitimate website, and that the owner is not afraid to reveal information.

Next, I've added Google Adsense to the site, because I have an account, and it's a quick, easy way to generate revenue, without doing a lot of work at the beginning. It's basically cut and paste (after finding the right placement and colours suitable to the website).

Organic search engine optimization (SEO) will also be important to the success of this site. Getting relevant backlinks from authority websites and other money making blogs, forums, and other sites will be a big boost. Submitting useful articles to sites like Digg StumbleUpon, and Reddit will hopefully generate more traffic (also known as link-baiting), and bring more targeted visitors here. Creating interest in forums, and similar topic platforms can help ingratiate your website into any market.

After that, it will be up to me to keep the site interesting for people to want to return. If I'm an expert at what I write about and I have something professional to offer, people will more than likely return. I can also create a community, allowing other people to participate who share the same money making interests.

Then, after a period of time when Make Money Online becomes populated better in the search engines, has acquired a decent number of backlinks, and has become a reliable authority site in itself, then the next steps could be to provide sponsored links, acquire banner advertising partnerships with companies like Valueclick, Casale, Tribal Fusion, or maybe even DoubleClick, and generate more money through page impressions, pop-unders, in-vue ads, and landing page advertisements.

The key though will be to continue to provide useful, reliable content, and supply information relevant to making money (online).

To continue, it might even be possible to offer paid review services for other money making online services, such as pay-per-click affiliates, books, and other Internet money marketing programs.
